Blocks, duplos, legos
What To Do
When your child is playing with blocks, describe how she is placing the blocks in relation to each other. You could say things like, “I see you are putting the red block on top of the blue one!” or “So you put the bigger blocks under the smaller ones.” Point the blocks as you describe the positions of each one.
Moving On
When your child can answer questions such as “Which block is next to the orange block?” or uses spatial words on his own, you may wish to move on.
