Have your child make a poster for a number.

Write a number, such as “6,” at the top.

Have your child color different groups of 6, such as 6 stars, 6 dots, and so on.

If your child is ready, have her write different addition and subtraction number sentences for that number (such as 4 + 2 or 9 – 3).
Moving On
When your child can write multiple addition and subtraction number sentences for numbers less than or equal to 10, move on to a new activity.
